Why this exists
Generative AI will draft polished legal analysis — and sometimes cite cases or quote clauses that don’t exist. Courts are now sanctioning it, and ethics guidance requires lawyers to verify every AI output independently. But re-checking everything by hand erases the time AI was supposed to save.
Redline closes that gap by reporting only what it can tie back to your contract’s own text — so verification is built into the artifact, not left to you. One missed liability cap can cost more than a year of Redline.
What “verified” means here

Verified means source-resolved: a reported finding has to point back to matching language in your contract, with the quote and its location. It does not mean Redline replaces your judgment or guarantees a clause is legally correct — you still sign off.
Confidentiality & privilege
A federal court has already held that a defendant’s exchanges with a public AI tool, used outside counsel’s direction, weren’t privileged — in part because the tool’s terms gave no reasonable expectation of confidentiality. Redline is built so the document never passes through us.

Intake, parsing, and review happen locally in the desktop app or CLI. There is no Redline server in your document’s path.
