Every finding shows its evidence anchor.

Redline does not just say there might be a problem. It shows you the exact clause, explains the issue, and gives you an evidence anchor you can check before acting.

The clause Redline flagged

Section 8.2 imposes unlimited indemnification on the receiving party for any and all claims arising from use of the Services without a liability cap or carve-out for consequential damages.

What Redline found

HIGH • Section 8.2 • Verified

This clause may create uncapped exposure. Redline verified this against the actual contract text and preserves the evidence anchor for lawyer review.

How Redline works

Single-pass AI is not enough.

Redline reads the contract, checks every finding against the actual text, and gives you a report with source-backed issues, risk framing, and next actions.

  1. 01
    Install and sign in

Install the Redline macOS app or CLI, then sign in with the email tied to your Redline subscription and your Claude Code or Codex subscription.

  2. 02
    Run the review locally

Drop in an NDA, service agreement, vendor contract, data processing agreement, or other business contract. Runs locally, nothing uploaded to Redline.

  3. 03
    Verified before a finding lands

Every issue is rated by severity, tied to the exact clause number, and checked against the source text before it appears in the report.

FAQ

Common questions.

If your question isn't here, email us at hello@red-line-ai.com.

What exactly is Redline?

Redline is software that reviews legal contracts using AI. It reads your contract, finds issues like missing liability caps or auto-renewal traps, and gives you a report where every finding is verified against the actual contract text — not just a guess.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. The macOS desktop app works like any other application — just open it and drop in your contract. There's also a command-line tool for teams that prefer it.

What's Claude Code / OpenAI Codex, and why do I need it?

Claude Code (by Anthropic, ~$20/mo) and OpenAI Codex are AI tools that can read and understand text. You sign up for one of them separately, and Redline uses it to run multiple review passes, verify findings, and generate your report.

What types of contracts does it review?

NDAs, master service agreements, vendor contracts, data processing agreements, SaaS agreements, statements of work — essentially any standard business contract.

Are my documents safe?

Yes. Redline runs on your Mac and your contracts are never sent to Redline's servers. When the AI reads your contract, that happens directly between your computer and your AI provider (Anthropic or OpenAI) — Redline never sees or stores your documents.

Why not just paste my contract into ChatGPT?

ChatGPT gives you one guess with no way to verify it. Redline runs multiple review passes, double-checks every finding against the actual text, and shows you the exact clause behind each issue. Plus, your document stays on your machine instead of being uploaded to OpenAI's servers.

How do team seats work?

Each $399/mo subscription includes up to 5 team members. After you subscribe, you can manage who has access from the team management page. New members are added automatically when they first use the app.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. No long-term commitment, no cancellation fees. You can cancel from the billing portal at any time.
